Oil

Oil paint is a vibrant, beautiful medium that can be used in many different ways, from the wet-on-wet techniques often used in impressionism to the more traditional technique of letting each layer of paint dry for weeks to months before painting another layer on. Many artists use a combination of both techniques these days. While oil painting isn’t my favorite medium, it’s very powerful and can be used to create incredibly beautiful paintings.
